The African-American owned hotel Hampton Inn & Suites room rate at 811 Massachusetts Avenue in Boston's South End neighborhood is approximately $245 per night. Business travelers and wedding parties go there too. The venue is one of five black-owned hotels in Massachusetts, managed by the RLJ company owned by Robert Johnson, BET founder. Boston Hostel International at Chinatown and South Station. 40 Berkley Street in the Back Bay. These two rental buildings offer inexpensive room bookings. Prices start at $50/night. Amenities are good, internation students, artists and world travelers prefer them to other accommodations. Who needs a day use hotel when hi quality hostels are here.

Hotel room rate quotes

Conference and Meeting planners strike deals when bringing hundreds of members Boston meetings. They book downtown hotels frequently because the largest convention centers are downtown. Some room rates quoted recently were: The Mass Conference of Women conference registered 10,000 women and arranged hotel room rates for them beginning at $209 per night at Element Seaport, $219 at Renaissance, and $233 per night at Seaport hotel, according to the meeting registration web site. The New England Grows conference were quoted $311/night at Renaissance Boston Waterfront, $297 at Seaport Hotel, ALOFT BOSTON SEAPORT asked for $226, the ELEMENT BOSTON SEAPORT wanted $226. The Westin Boston Waterfront charged them $259 per night. These prices are exclusive of taxes.

New Boston Hotels

The Verb Hotel replaced the Howard Johnson Hotel in Fenway in August 2014. The 94-room, 43,000–square-foot hotel will “meld the best of Boston’s past, with the vibrant, spirited culture of the modern-day Fenway neighborhood,” according to Samuels & Associates, the developers behind the project.

The Godfrey Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel with 243 rooms, a full service restaurant, retail space, a coffee shop and a 1,500 SF spa center is part of the “59 Temple Place” development.

Envoy Hotel a $70M, 100,000 square-foot, 136-room 6-story luxury ‘Autograph Collection’ hotel by Marriott in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston near the site of the landmark Boston restaurant, The Barking Crab (88 Sleeper Street).

A 178-room, $32 million Hilton Garden Inn near Boston Logan Airport is located in close proximity to Logan International Airport and the Orient Heights neighborhood of East Boston, which offers many diverse dining options within walking distance and quick subway access to downtown Boston.
